William brachte dieses Lied in das Rapalje-Repertoire. Er h\u00f6rte ein Lied w\u00e4hrend eines sch\u00f6nen Abends in seinem Lieblings-Pub, ein Teil der Texte steckte nur in seinem Kopf und sogar seine Tr\u00e4ume, schlie\u00dflich kam Home is Where my Friends Are daraus hervor. Wir fanden das urspr\u00fcngliche Lied, das in Williams Pub gespielt wurde. Dies war „Back to Donegal“ von Rory McLoad, also war dies die Inspiration f\u00fcr Home is Where my Friends Are<\/p>\n

Die Melodie, die wir in diesem Song spielen, hei\u00dft Pride of Petravore, daf\u00fcr wurden auch andere Songs geschrieben.<\/p>\n

Pride of Petravore<\/h2>\n

Soweit wir wissen, ist William Houston Collisson (1865-1920) der Autor von Pride of Petravore und eine traditionelle Hornpipe-Melodie. Percy French (1854-1920) schrieb die Texte zu dem Lied, was bedeutet, dass es jetzt auch Eileen Og genannt wird. Die beiden waren Freunde, B\u00fchnenpartner und College-Komponisten. In unserer CD „Into Folk“ haben wir die Noten geschrieben.<\/p>\n
