Welcome to another livestream on facebook. And another Rapalje Show on YouTube.
Where do you see our videos?
Because there are many videos every week with a live stream. We have a Rapalje Show made from this live stream. With extra material and videos I shot in between. Funny moments, things we’ve done in the past.
I want to know where you see our videos Do you watch them on YouTube? On Instagram? Facebook? On Vimeo? Or are you a patron
And you watch the videos on our Patreon account, with the extra videos we make as well
I need to practice some more to write on this blackboard
I made some videos and some outdoor recordings from this nice building Zollhaus in Leer and how we are performing here
About 1/3 of all people who are watching the YouTube videos and also the livestreams, are Dutch. The other 1/3 is German and the 3rd 1/3 from another language and don’t understand German or don’t understand Dutch. So, that’s the reason that I talk English To make it easier for everybody. But I know not everybody understands English well enough That’s the reason we got subtitles
Maybe you have friends or family of colleagues who also want to understand what I’m talking about in English. With subtitles in your language. So we can try to find somebody who can translate it for you Please let me know where you’re coming from and which language you prefer..
During the week I will put some more video’s on like small videos I make to announce our concerts.
When I’m somewhere and I see something interesting I have something to tell about, I also make videos for our patrons. I make longer videos specially for the patrons. And then I can even cut up this video. To make a smaller, to the point, story I want to tell you for everybody who is online
This is no fun guys This is a hard job. This is not a holiday trip
We played all day. And yesterday. This is a business trip
What business are we going to do for the next few days?
Swimming and sailing with a catamaran
What kind of birds do live here? Some birds in tiny bikinis. A coot. It’s just the normal Dutch and German bird. A Egret over there That’s a very normal bird in Europe as well. There’re a lot of turtles. Flamingos. Doves as well . The tiny “blackbirds” who steel the food. They are from the crow family. Very small and very slender. Actually very nice. Anacondas?
Here are trees, actually growing in salt water. It’s really a very old forrest. This is just around where we are in the hotel. There’s really this nature which we don’t know in Europe. This is so different. Every plant, everything is different. The birds are the same as at home. But the surroundings and the plants are absolutely different. I saw some plants we got at home as well. They grow here for free. In the flower shop they sell it to us. T
Did we get any sun? Are we brown? It’s warm and there’s a lot of sun and yeah, we’re coming home, not brown, but red! Because the sun is really strong here.
Dieb brought his old violin because it’s very loud acoustically.
Today and yesterday we played acoustically. And it reminded me of the older days when Maceál and me where together as street musicians. And how hard it was, and a lot of work, just to make sound that people can hear me. That’s why I have the loud violin “Il Canone” We got a lot of problems hearing each other. William: Has nothing to do with the acoustics but with your ears..
Have we seen any sharks? It’s on the program: “See some sharks”
I think it’s funny that you travel half around the world and you get a T-shirt and colours like this: In orange, red, blue and white. When we see a flag that almost looks like a Dutch flag, like in the North of Germany, they also got a flag like in The Netherlands. Almost, a bit upside down. I will show you some other Dominican Republic flags. So this is what I was wearing
We are going to play a song. We’re going to make some music for you
So, yesterday was great Playing on a ship Enjoying ourselves In the sun and the sea We had “Frühshoppen”.
Frühshoppen is as being told to me Is in the time that they made wine. And testing the wine That’s what called “Shopping” the wine. And that they did in early: “Frühshoppen”
There’s snow. It’s very cold in The Netherlands right now. But when we were leaving To the airplane at 4 o’clock in the morning we also had ice on the windscreen It’s a bit warmer here, actually. It’s about 30º here Yeah – Celcius. What are we going to do tomorrow? A monstertruck safari
